In The Shallows
North Island is part of the Houtman Abrolhos Group of Islands of the Midwest coast of Australia.
It is one of the bigger Islands in the group and was once home to a thriving crayfishing community, with a community hall and school, now only a few fishermen remain to work in this unique environment, I was lucky enough to have grown up there during the crayfishing season.
“In The Shallows” was shot looking down on the shallow clear water from our old jetty while a school of small fish swam by.
